Medical appointments are often set up in twenty-minute intervals.  The appoint with Dr. Jones will be at 10:20 AM or; The appointment with Dr. Jones will be at 2:40 PM.

Classes in schools often start or end at 50 minutes into the hour (example 8:50) or stated another way class will end ten minutes before the hour.

There is sixty minutes in one hour, 15 minutes represents a quarter of an hour, 60 seconds is one minute.
